I have laid before the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury your letter of 14th Instant, enclosing copy of a letter from the Crown Agents for the Colonies calling attention to the Account of the Colony of Hong Kong at their Office; from which letter it appears that the sum of £10,000 may probably be immediately required in order to meet the liability incurred by the Agents in respect of a Bill for £10,000 drawn upon the Agra and Masterman's Bank which had been discounted before the failure of that Bank, and their Lordships desire me to acquaint you, for the information of Cameron, that in the event
